For New Christians
The Case For Faith
By Lee Stroebel
Zondervan publishing (2000)
New York Times bestselling author and former agnostic, Lee Stroebel, does a masterful job describing his personal journey toward the truth. He describes in detail the many interviews he conducted with some of the brightest minds on both sides of the God question. He fairly articulates the arguments of each camp. This is a must read for all Christians because it provides us with powerful arguments for our faith. This will come in handy when we inevitably defend our faith against the supposedly "rational" attacks of unbelievers.
There are two versions on this book, one for the general public and one for teens/students. Which one should you get? Hint: If you have read the entire New Testament and have some college under your belt, go with the general public book on the far left. Everyone else should go with the "student" version to the right.

Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God, Revised and Expanded
by Henry Blackaby, Richard Blackaby, and Claude King
Broadman & Holman Publishers (2008)
A must read for every Christian who has yet to "Experience God" in their normal everyday life. This is an invaluable resource to help Christians learn how God operates in their lives including how to hear His voice. Don't waste ten years just reading about God and holding one-way conversations in prayer with Him, "experience Him" personally the way He wants you to. That involves hearing His voice, obeying, and experiencing His supernatural intervention in your life.
Note: This is the book and Bible study program God used in my life to accelerate my understanding and operation in His supernatural calling for me, as one of His children.

Miracles Workers, Reformers, and The New Mystics
by John Crowder
Destiny Image Publishers (2006)
John Crowder does a brilliant job of examining the lives of mighty men and women of God who routinely operated in the supernatural and miraculous realm throughout Church history. I gained new insight into some of the deeper things of God through this work and John's tremendous spiritual insight. If you are brave enough to enter the river of God's power, as He desires you to, then read this book and share it with your closest brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Visions of The Harvest
by Rick Joyner
Destiny Image (2008)
This is a very deep book. The cover should say "For Mature Christians Only." If you are knowledgeable on the bible and spiritual gifts and you are a "true believer", then you will love this work. The divine revelations Rick shares in this book are fascinating and thought provoking. I also enjoy Rick's other works which expand upon the visions in this book and those subsequently received.

The Call
By Rick Joyner
Destiny Image
The Call continues the message introduced in The Final Quest that challenged Christians around the world to begin living the truth which they have been entrusted with. "The Call" is a call to life, a call to live in the unprecedented glory of the Son of God, a call to sacrifice, and to do all things for the sake of the Gospel. The darkness will soon be over, and the day of our Lord will dawn. Now is the time to take a stand against the darkness of our time and to overcome it with the Light Who is greater and is surely coming. (Publisher's description)
This is another book on the deeper things of God, appropriate for mature, power Christians. If you haven't read the entire Bible at least once, or at least the New Testament, you're not ready for this work. (Brother Dave)

Questioning Evangelism, Engaging Peoples's Hearts the Way Jesus Did
by Randy Newman
Kregel Publications (2004)
If you read this book, the next time someone hostile to the Gospel tries to provoke you into a homicidal outburst, you'll relax and smile at his/her inability to rationally answer these simple questions which lead to the truth of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. Instead of making proclamations and eloquent counter-arguments, Randy shows us how to engage would-be Christians into sincere question and answer discussions concerning the reality of God and our relationship to Him.

Bestselling prophecy expert Mark Hitchcock explores a fascinating last-days controversy that is gaining the attention of millions all over the globe. No longer just the obscure talk of small town America or the Bible Belt, the interest in 2012 and "End Times" has gone mainstream and is now part of pop culture.
The ancient Mayans were expert astronomers and their advanced calendar cycles predict December 21, 2012 as a catastrophic day of apocalypse. This book will equip Christians to effectively counter baseless speculation with biblical fact.

Blood Power
Authored and Published by James Webber (2009)
For those with an evangelistic heart (and that should be all of us), "Blood Power" is an inspirational work. This is an autobiography by James Webber, who takes his witness for the Lord Jesus Christ to a whole new level. Basing his witness for God on Jesus, John the Baptist and numerous Old Testament prophet examples, James Webber shows how the gospel should be taken to the streets to effectively reach the masses of humanity.
A friend shared this book with my husband, and it sat on a shelf for some time before I finally picked it up. When I finally started reading this book, I found it thoroughly engaging. So who are these street evangelists you may have seen or heard of on rare occasions? In actuallity, they number in the hundreds taking the gospel to the streets, mostly in larger cities, on college campuses and at many major sporting events. They often use large banners and bullhorns taking the message of Jesus Christ to where many have never heard it before and changing lives by the thousands. If you can get your hands on this book, it is well worth the read. It may very well change the way you witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Praying With Power
Authority in Prayer, Praying with Power and Purpose
by Dutch Sheets
Bethany House Publishers (2006)
This is not only an awesome teaching on how the Kingdom of God works and how to pray with authority, it is also a fun and entertaining read. Many books on prayer (to me) can be rather tedious reading but this book is hard to put down because of Dutch's humorous and witty style.

Spiritual Warfare
The Invisible War
By Chip Ingram
Baker Books 2008
Some Christians believe strongly in the existence of demons and spiritual warfare. Others downplay or even ignore the idea. With such divergent views, how are Christians supposed to know the truth about demonic forces at work in this world? The Invisible War examines what every believer needs to know about Satan, demons, and spiritual warfare, offering a balanced look at this controversial subject. This provocative book will help Christians understand what the Bible says about these threats and will show them how they can safeguard themselves and their families through prayer. Now available in trade paper, The Invisible War offers a balanced look at what is going on in the spiritual realm and what believers can do to defend themselves. (Publisher's Review)
