Consider for a moment just how important it would be to understand who the “players" are, what they want, and how they operate. For example, if it is true that demons really are trying to make your life as miserable as possible, wouldn’t it be extremely important to know how to defend yourself and your family from them?Based on my research and own personal experiences, angels and demons are, indeed, very real. And it can actually be a matter of life and death to understand and defend yourself from demonic attacks against you and your family. Since we are talking about life and death consequences, even if you doubt angelic existence, wouldn't it be wise to do a little more research---just in case? The most recent U.S. Religious Landscape Survey by the Pew Forum indicates that 7 out of 10 Americans believe that angels and demons are active in the world today. There have been dozens upon dozens of books published over the years which detail hundreds of first-hand, eyewitness instances of angelic/demonic encounters. In my own interviews with Christians I’ve found that roughly 20% have recognized first-hand experience with supernatural beings the Holy Bible calls angels and demons. If a very conservative 10% of the world’s current estimated population of 6.8 billion people are Christians (i.e. 6.8 million) and just 10% of that number has had first-hand encounters with these supernatural beings, this would represent over 600,000 people (granted; this number is an extrapolation, but grossly underestimated). Do you really suppose that 600,000 people--from all parts of the globe--could be completely off-base? Out of Sight, Out of MindFor most people, the problem with believing in angels and demons is that they are invisible and rarely have any motivation to be exposed. Ironically, angels and demons both find that they can accomplish their respective missions for good or evil much more effectively if we humans have little or no idea of what’s really going on. As far as the demonic kingdom goes, however, it is unequivocally in our best interests to know what is going on. And that is why God has revealed the existence of this spiritual realm in the Holy Bible--for those who are faithful enough to learn and trust His Word.The point here is: just because you may have never directly seen an angel or demon does not mean they don't exist and are not active in the world around you. We can't see bacteria or viruses either, but that doesn't stop us from being careful to defend ourselves against them with disinfectants. We can't see gravity, but that doesn't mean we are dumbfounded at why we aren't floating around our environment. We accept the fact that this invisible, yet powerful, force keeps us anchored to Earth. Do the Laws of Physics Support the Reality of a Supernatural Spiritual Realm?Anyone knowledgeable in the mathematics field of theoretical physics would have to concede that actual reality is far more bizarre than we can imagine. Some of the most brilliant minds in this field have “done the math” on physical laws of nature. Their findings: other, invisible, dimensions MUST exist!The beautiful thing about science is that when it is based on fact---not unsupported presumption, like evolution---it supports the reality of the supernatural realm described in the Holy Bible! Don’t take my word for it; either “do the math” or look at the logical conclusions of those who have---other dimensions of reality must exist beyond what we are able to discern with the naked eye or conventional wisdom. The vocabulary has changed but scientific thought is finally catching up with the supernatural realities revealed long ago in scripture. In 2 Corinthians 12:2 Paul refers to someone being caught up to the “third heaven.” So, let's take s peek into this fantastic invisible realm!
